My Dream Duets Barry Manilow

Barry Manilow is a global superstar, acknowledged by his industry peers with Emmy, Tony and Grammy awards, and by record buyers who have pushed his album sales past 80 million copies sold to date. This album shows Barry celebrating his own musical heroes who have inspired him through the years. From cherished idols like Judy Garland and Louis Armstrong to more contemporary icons like Whitney Houston and John Denver. Barry has joined together with them in his “virtual recording studio”, emerging with a collection of remarkable duet classics. On this album Manilow has re-orchestrated the music for each track (all originally solos) to make them suitable for a duet and to transport the guest vocals into vibrant new settings. In this way he not only pays homage to his duet partners, he brings them into the modern era.

Other Music worth a mention:

The Heart of It All

Aled Jones
Aled returns to his Welsh folk roots with the release of ‘The Heart Of It All’ an eclectic collection of folk songs, spiritual and show tunes chosen by himself. American singer songwriter Nell Bryden guests on a stunning version of Morning Has Broken, while hugely respected Irish flute and tin whistle maestro Michael McGoldrick features throughout and Gaelic singer Julie Fowlis sings on a version of Joni Mitchell’s Both Sides Now.

It's The Girls

Bette Midler
It’s The Girls, Bette’s first studio album for eight years, sees her return to form, singing renditions of timeless classic 60s girl group songs such as ‘Be My Baby’ by The Ronettes, ‘You Can’t Hurry Love’ by The Supremes to more contemporary R&B, with a cover of TLC’s platinum hit ‘Waterfalls’ and a duet with Darlene Love, who recently featured in the Academy Award winning music documentary ’20 Feet From Stardom’.
