Members of a band, originally from Seaforth, are looking forward to playing their first gig in more than 30 years this Saturday (March 13).
Andy Daniels, Peter Howie, Kenny Thompson and Tommy Webster attended Crosby Secondary Modern School together and formed the R n' B, rock and pop band Ashmond Gisley.
According to drummer Andy, the group played pubs and clubs in and around Liverpool and were together for about 10 years.
They supported acts including The Sweet, Mud and Marmalade in the 70s, until vocalist Tommy left the band and moved to South Africa in 1976.
“We carried on after Tommy left for a bit but then disbanded,” Andy told The Champion.
“Tommy is only coming back to the area for a flying visit so we've had the gig in the planning for about two months.
"We're trying to get as many people there as we can and there'll be a lot of friends and family.
The band will perform at The Victoria on Great George's Road in Waterloo at 9pm.
