Guide dog puppy walker raises more than £1,600 for charity
A GUIDE Dog puppy walker raised more than £1,600 for the charity by holding a fundraiser at her home in Formby.
Margaret Tranter held the event at her home recently, raising £1,670 for the Guide Dogs, a British charity which provides help to thousands of blind and partially sighted people across the country by providing guide dogs, mobility and other rehabilitation services. They also campaign for the rights of those with visual impairments and invest in eye disease research.
Margaret, who walks Guide Dog puppies, said: “I would like to thank my team of volunteers for their invaluable help, my guests for their generous donations and friends and local businesses who donated prizes.
“The event was a huge success and raised £1,670 for Guide Dogs. The highlight of my day was meeting the last puppy I reared, Nessa, and her new owner.”
