Flying the flag for a world class parade
by Henry James

THERE were activities for the young and old at the Little Digmoor Community Carnival.

The event included a fancy dress parade featuring flags of the world, a band, beavers and scouts, children from Little Digmoor Primary School and local councillors.

The parade returned to the Fold Centre on Abbeystead where Councillor Aldridge was placed in the stocks for a soaking.

A children's entertainer performed all afternoon before leading into a talent show and there was also birds of prey, an assault course, sumo wrestlers, gladiators and dog agility.

The event was hosted by the Little Digmoor Community Association and Little Digmoor Primary School.
