Company looks forward to the festive season
by Guest

THE Waterloo and Crosby Theatre Company (WCTC) is busy rehearsing for its Christmas productions.

This year sees their 30th annual family pantomime at Crosby Civic Hall - ‘Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves' - on from December 3-4 December and December 9-11, with matinee performances on the Saturdays and Sundays.

Tickets for the pantomime are available at the box office on 0151 928 1919. Tickets are also available for WCTC's Evening of Christmas Music which is taking place at CHET on December 15-16. Tickets for the Christmas music show can be obtained by phoning 0151 924 0231.

Meanwhile, the company is looking forward to its latest social night/fundraising evening which takes place this Saturday (October 1) at St Luke’s Church Hall in Crosby.

An ‘Evening of One Act Plays’ starts at 7.30pm prompt. There will be three plays performed during the evening, the first being ‘The Claremont Home for Gentle Folk' - a short comedy which has been written and directed by the company's own Cath Roe and features many familiar faces from WCTC.

There then follows two plays written by local playwright Edward Chapman, who has previously had his lays perform at the Actors' Studio in Liverpool. Dying of Stage features Leo Appleton in this quirky one handed play which tells the story of a week in the life of a troubled TV game show host, whilst the final play of the evening Facing Up features Tony O’Keefe and Alex Appleton taking on multiple roles in a story of difficult relationships as a psychiatrist tries to get to the bottom of her client's problems.

Tickets are priced £8 each and include a chilli supper. Contact Graham on 07510 689661 or see the WCTC Website at www.theatreco.org.uk
