by Natasha Young

SOUTHPORT'S Queenscourt Hospice, Macmillan and Cancer Research UK have shared a £2,100 funding boost, thanks to a Churchtown charity event.

Churchtown Conservative Club recently collected the bumper total with the help of its members and local businesses as it hosted a fundraising evening, which featured a raffle and auction.

Rhoda Whitley, Lill Lloyde, Pam Stone and Norma White from the club presented the donations to representatives from the charities.
