Focus on tasty Lancashire treats
by David Simister

THE organisers of a scrumptious food show in Bickerstaffe next month have vowed to bring the best flavours from across Lancashire to the event.

Visitors to the second-ever Bickerstaffe Food Festival, being held on Saturday, October 6, are being encouraged to tempt their tastebuds with foods and drinks from across the Red Rose county at the event at Moss House Farm.

Kim O'Brien, event spokesperson, said: “Farmers across our region grow fantastic produce and the festival is guaranteed to bring the flavours of Lancashire to life and is an opportunity for people to see where their food comes from.

”The best of what's on your doorstep doesn’t get much better than freshly harvested and seasonal cabbages which can be bought at the festival along with all the other top quality produce that will be on sale.“

Among the Lancashire firms who will be hoping to provide a tasty treat for visitors are Belmont Farm, Fiddlers Crisps, Rose Buds Bakery, Lancashire Bread House, Chocolate Wizard, Cunliff Event Caterers, Reedys Naturally, Crazy Cow, Shirley’s Pies, Cheesecake Charlie, Source Deli, The Garden Festivals Company, Dinky Bakes, Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf.

For more information about the event go online and visit the official event website at www.bickerstaffefoodfestival.co.uk or call Kim on 07802 200 181.
