MARINE will kick off next season with what promises to be a feisty encounter away at Salford City.

In the first game of the 2015/16 campaign the Crosby team will travel on the 15 August to promoted Salford City who are backed by the Class of 92 quintet Gary and Paul Neville, Paul Scholes, Nicky Butt and Ryan Giggs.

After the opening game at Salford, Marine have their first two home games firstly against Ashton United on Tuesday 18 August and then Nantwich Town on Saturday 22 August.

Skelmersdale United are the visitors to The Marine Travel Arena for the 31 August Bank Holiday game and on Boxing Day, Colwyn Bay are the visitors after a number of seasons in the Conference North. Promoted Darlington 1883, with their large support, visit Marine on Saturday 30 January.

The return derby game at Skelmersdale United is on Monday, December 28 and the away trip to Colwyn Bay is on Easter Monday, March 28.

The fixture computer has repeated the last game of last season with another away trip to Blyth Spartans on Saturday, April 23.

Marine Chairman Paul Leary said: “We are quite pleased with the scheduling of our fixture list for the new season especially with receiving home games on the August Bank Holiday and Boxing Day and having the bank holiday pairings confirmed with Skelmersdale United and Colwyn Bay as agreed between the Clubs beforehand.

”It is amazing that we have to travel to Blyth Spartans once again for our last game of the season and I am absolutely sure that we won’t be in the same predicament as last year when we travel there at the end of April.

“The public interest in our Club has continued through the summer and we are encouraged by the knock on effect in new season ticket sales and hopefully in attendances too when the season kicks off in August.

”Manager Sean Hessey and Assistant Phil Hackney look to build on the achievement of the team in the last two months of the season and I look forward to a significant improvement in our league position in the campaign ahead and to having a season with a measure of some success that our fans can enjoy for a change.“
