Trees light up village
by Tom Martin

FOLLOWING last year's success, Christmas trees have returned to light up Melling Village once more.

The trees have again been paid for by Melling Parish Council with match funding from Sefton Council.

Dawn Beaumont, Chair of Melling Parish Council, said: “We were determined to light up the village again this year after the real positive comments we have received from residents.”

Cllr Paula Murphy added: “I was delighted once again to work with the Parish Council to get the trees back in Melling. Not only as a ward Councillor but also living in Melling it just makes the area feel that bit more special this time of year. I welcome the proactive approach Melling Parish Council takes not only this time of year but all year around.”
