Young readers hit the gold trail
by Danielle Thompson

A TRIO of young book lovers are the latest to strike gold on the Lancashire Reading Trail.

Sisters Emily, 11, and nine-year-old Isabel Wareing, along with seven-year-old Ben Attwood, completed the challenge at Burscough Library by reading and reviewing 50 books each, receiving a gold certificate and free book from library staff for their efforts.

Library manager, Carol Young, said: “The children have all enjoyed taking part and have collected stickers, bookmarks and certificates along the way. Well done to the three of them.”

If your child would like to take part, find out more at www.lancashire.gov.uk.
