CHAMPNEWS.COM LOGIN HELP

1. After I login it does not show the "Welcome" message at the top of the page.
Our login uses "cookies" to remember your login. Your security settings may be stopping us writing the cookie to your computer. To allow our login to work you should add our sites to your list of 'allowed' sites. On IE6 this can be done as follows:

  • Click the Tools menu
  • Select Internet Options
  • Select the Privacy tab
  • Click the Sites button
  • Type http://www.champnews.com and click Allow
  • Type http://www.champnews.com and click Allow
  • Click OK and OK again to close the Options box

Please note that the exact wording of buttons can change between different version of Internet Explorer. For other browsers, please check the browser's own help.

If the above does not work you can go into the Privacy tab of Internet Options again and change the overall settings to Low. If you login works after this then it would suggest a typing error in entering the site names.

NB: We would recommend setting the overall settings to Low only for testing. Once finished, these settings should be returned to your previous level.

2. I can login ok, but when I go to the Bargain Buys (or other membership page) it tells me I am not logged in.

This problem can also be caused by the cookie settings. See above for instructions on how to change this.

If your cookie settings are ok and the problem persists please make sure you are using http://www.champnews.com when going to our site. We have found some problems between the domains champnews.com and champnews.com for logging in that we are looking into. Until we are able to solve these problems, champnews.com is the better domain to use.
