  • All Souls announce their pantomime details for next year

    Henry James

AFTER the sell-out spectacle Beauty and The Beast in January, All Souls are now excited to let audiences know what’s in store next.

Members of All Souls Dramatic club are proud to announce that the gigantic adventure, Jack and The Beanstalk, will be hitting The Atkinson Theatre Southport in January 2019.

Beauty and The Beast was performed to more than 4,000 people in a sell-out run, receiving critical acclaim from local reviewers, The National Operatic and Dramatic Association and audience members alike. The club now look forward to getting started on their next epic production.

All Souls will welcome the award winning Cliff Gillies back once more to write and direct this show, along with a production team who bring pure magic to the wonderful audiences.

After a gruelling seven hour audition process, the team had the unenviable task of casting more than 40 individuals to bring the story to life including six junior dancers from So Talented Academy of Theatre Arts.

Cliff said: “Each year the club have gone from strength to strength and this time is no exception. We will be bringing our audiences a more traditional story in Jack and The Beanstalk complete with an extremely talented and dedicated cast and I am excited to bring a new modern twist to this giant of a tale.

“It’ll be hard work but I look forward, as ever, to seeing it come together.”

Chairperson, Ana Woodward commented: “At All Souls, we pride ourselves on putting on a show the whole family can enjoy, with magic and fun for the little ones, humour that will have the adults giggling as well as music and spectacle for all. We hope to see you all there!”

Tickets are now on sale from The Atkinson Box Office, Lord Street, Southport.

Jack and The Beanstalk will be performed between January 10 and 20 2019 with some matinee performances available.

People can book in person at the Box Office on Lord Street, book online at theatkinson.co.uk or call on 01704 533333.
