New date and location confirmed for food and drink festival
A NEW date and location for the inaugural Crosby & Waterloo Food and Drink Festival has been confirmed by organisers.
It will now be held at Old Christ Church across two days on Saturday, October 27 and Sunday, October 28 between 11am-9pm with more than 40 traders already signed up.
The Champion reported last week how the event, which was originally supposed to be held outdoors at Burbo Bank, had to be cancelled at the last minute due to bad weather.
Organisers NS Events said: “The rearranged Crosby & Waterloo Food and Drink Festival will take place over the course of two days at Old Christ Church.
“For those of you who may not know Old Christ Church, it is no longer a church and is simply an amazing event space that offers indoor and outdoor space. We’ll have the best of both worlds!
“We are pleased to say that many of the traders confirmed for the last event are returning to trade with us in October.
“Around 40 traders will be slinging their wares; maintaining the ethos of local, indie traders and keeping that wonderful courtyard/village atmosphere of our predecessor - The Pop Up Village.
“We remain committed to being as eco friendly as possible. Working in partnership with our event sponsor ICS, we are providing all traders with 100% biodegradable and recycle products to serve food in - so no plastic and no landfill!”
