Tesco worker braves the shave for charity while store staff launch pyjamas appeal
IT WAS double the joy for Tesco staff in Southport when they began a collection for homeless children in Merseyside, as well as a close shave for cafe worker Angela Barcas.
Barbara Murray, Tesco at Kew’s Community Champion launched a special appeal earlier this month for customers to donate a new pair of pyjamas to be given to children from homeless families in the run-up to Christmas.
Following this, Angela braved the shave to raise funds for Macmillan Nurses.
Barbara said: “We are so proud of Angela for braving the shave and we would like to thank everyone who has helped support her fund-raising as well as the generous donations we have already had for the pyjama appeal.”
