A LOCAL information website wants people to send in limericks describing their town.
The Best Local Limerick Awards 2007 is a free competition that is open to anyone to compose a limerick about the place where they live.
There are prizes for the top limericks and the best entries will be
featured on Localmouth.com.
"The name of the town or village where someone lives is something that they have in common with all their neighbours," said Matt Collins, founder of Localmouth.com. "This is a great chance for people to get together and see what limericks they can come up with."
The closing date for entries is October 15. Budding poets can find further details and entry instructions online at www.localmouth.com/home/view/local_limerick_awards.
