Description: Thornton Parish Council – Parish Clerk & Responsible Financial Officer Hours – 5 hours per week | Salary - £2769.00 p.a. Location – Primarily working from home with attendance at approximately 12 evening meetings usually on the first Monday of the Month. Please note home internet access & use of PC/Laptop is required. Thornton Parish Council is looking to appoint a Clerk and Responsible Financial Officer, to undertake a wide range of duties to ensure the smooth running of the Council. Duties will include correspondence, preparation of agendas, attending meetings and producing accurate minutes, annual budgets/audits, dealing with correspondence and emails, maintenance of the Council’s website and the prompt payment of invoices. The successful applicant will be highly motivated and have excellent IT, communication and organisational skills, with financial and administrative experience. Previous experience of working for a Parish Council is not essential as training and support will be provided.
