Parish Clerk & Responsible Financial Officer

Description: Thornton Parish Council is looking to appoint a Clerk and Responsible Financial Officer, to undertake a wide range of duties to ensure the smooth running of the Council. Duties will include correspondence, preparation of agendas, attending meetings and producing accurate minutes, annual budgets/audits, dealing with correspondence and emails, maintenance of the Council’s website and the prompt payment of invoices.
 Location – Primarily working from home with attendance at approximately 12 evening meetings usually on the first Monday of the Month. Please note home internet access & use of PC/Laptop is required. Hours – 5 hours per week | Salary - £2769.00
Requirements: The successful applicant will be highly motivated and have excellent IT, communication and organisational skills, with financial and administrative experience. Previous experience of working for a Parish Council is not essential as training and support will be provided.
