Archery ace Jack’s on target for title at the double . . .
TALENTED Skelmersdale archer Jack Grogan has hit the target again.
After winning the Early Bird tournament at the Assheton Bowmen at the end of April, he returned to the Manchester club to triumph again in the Lancashire Archery Championships organised by the Lancashire Archery Association.
Despite a gentle breeze it was tough going for competitors with the sun shining brightly throughout and the heat forcing them to apply sun cream repeatedly.
But it was Grogan who proved too hot for his rivals, establishing an early lead and as the competition progressed distancing himself further from his nearest rival with every dozen arrows shot.
And as well as collecting the trophy, he also regained the title of Lancashire Recurve champion, which he has won several times over the past five years.
