Man found injured in Bold Street flat
POLICE have appealed for information after a man was found injured in his Southport flat.
Officers were called to an address on Bold Street at around 9pm on Sunday, October 14 where they found a 44-year-old man with multiple injuries. He was taken to hospital where he continues to be treated for injuries including a bleed on the brain. He remains in a serious but stable condition.
CCTV is being sought, house to house enquiries are on-going and the scene has been forensically examined.
Detective Inspector Gary Stratton said: “At this time, we are working to ascertain how this man came to be injured. It’s possible that he was assaulted or suffered a fall and we are hoping someone may be able to assist us in piecing together what has happened.
“We know the victim was last seen on the Thursday before and I’d ask anyone who may have seen a fight or assault take place in this area or maybe someone was subject to a fall and you helped them up?
“The victim is described as white, slim build, 5ft 5in tall with a shaven head and beard. He is known to wear a cap, t-shirt and jeans and a black bubble coat.”
Anyone with any information is asked to call 101 or @CrimestoppersUK on 0800 555 111.
