  • Holiday Breakfast Club returns at new venue

    Henry James

SKELMERSDALE’S Holiday Breakfast Club returns at half-term at a new venue.

Due to a change in policy at Lancashire County Council, the club can no longer be held at Skelmersdale Library.

Fortunately though they have now relocated to Tanhouse Community Centre in Ennerdale and the club will continue at the usual time, from 9.30 to 10.30am, running from Monday, February 18 to Friday, February 22.

As ever, it is free and all are welcome, although children must be accompanied by an adult. There will be the usual craft activities, games and puzzles, as well as cereal, fruit, yoghurt and Maureen’s scotch pancakes! The Junk Food Cafe will again be providing a free packed lunch every day.

Meanwhile organisers would like to say a massive ‘thank-you’ to all the staff at Skelmersdale Library for their help and support to get this project started.

Anyone who would like to like to donate cereals, craft materials or even money, can contact Councillor Claire Cooper on 07742 927 689 or by email at claire4birchgreen@gmail.com.
