Train station on track for 117 space car park
A NEW car park next to Hall Road train station is starting to take shape as work continues to create 117 vehicle spaces.
Work began in September 2016 and is expected to be completed next month, meaning motorists using the Blundellsands station can now park next to the railway track.
It is being financed by National Stations Improvement Programme (NSIP), which is a Network Rail funding scheme.
One regular train user, Tim Neill, 45, who uses Hall Road station on a daily basis, has welcomed the development.
He said: “I use the station every morning and most days you can't park anywhere near the station so this is a great idea.
“They already have a big, new car park at Blundellsands and Crosby station and there's one at Seaforth so it's about time they put one at Hall Road as well.
“It's going to be very helpful!”
