Byng House manager to retire

THE manager of Southport's Royal British Legion Poppy Break Centre is retiring at the end of the month, after eight years at the helm.

Pam Crawford, who has overseen a major refurbishment of the Byng House site during her time in the role, was recently presented with an engraved light-box and a glass paperweight by the chairman of the amenities committe to mark her retirement.

She will be replaced by Paul Flood.
