Canoe safari on the way
by David Simister

AN aquatic attraction at Martin Mere is opening for the first time next Monday (April 11), giving visitors a whole new way to look at the wetland site.

The Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust said that the Burscough site's new canoe safari will offer families and adults a safe and fun way to explore the recently created reedbed habitat and its rich biodiversity, using American-style canoes which can seat up to three people.

Read next week's Champion, published April 13, for a full feature on the new canoe safari attraction.
