Operatic group to sing on ferries
by Natasha Young

MEMBERS of the Crosby Gilbert and Sullivan Society will entertain passengers on the Mersey Ferries this Sunday (May 29), in a bid to raise funds for charity.

The group will perform excerpts from two of the most popular operas by Gilbert and Sullivan - Pirates of Penzance and HMS Pinafore - while collecting money and boosting awareness for the Clatterbridge Centre for Oncology.

The performances of favourites such as ‘A Policeman's Lot is Not a Happy One' and ‘I'm Called Little Buttercup' will take place on two River Explorer cruises departing Liverpool at 1pm and 2pm.

The light operatic cruises will be departing from Liverpool Cruise Liner Terminal with no additional charges, although normal River Explorer prices apply.
