Mawdesley too strong for Argyle

Mawdesley 1 were too string for Argyle 1 this week and gained a fantastic away win 12/4, with John Mackintosh who is still yet to drop a set this season securing maximum points for the team. Mawdesley 2 hosted a strong Blundellsands 1 team, losing 11/5 despite excellent performances from Mawdesley’s ladies in the level doubles. Mawdesley 3 travelled away to an outstanding Blundellsands 2 side, losing 16/0 despite gusty performances from Jane Bland and Lesley Richardson. Mawdesley 4 secured a strong home win 11/5 over North Meols 4, with a convincing performance from Andy Clegg who gained maximum points for the team. Mawdesley 5 travelled away to Town Green 1, losing 11/5 on the night although strong performances from Martin Rath and Jo Sheffield were displayed.
