Cranford tale to close Sefton writing festival

A HEART-warming new stage play inspired by Elizabeth Gaskell's Cranford stories will come to Crosby this weekend.

Cranford at Christmas, directed by Laura Turner, will bring the fifth annual Sefton Celebrates Writing Festival to a close on Sunday (November 13) at The Civic.

The tale of charity and goodwill is set deep in the frost English countryside and sees disaster strike a community preparing for the festive season.
