Witness appeal to fatal road collision

AN 88-year-old man who died after being involved in a Marshside Road crash has now been named.

Kenneth Turner, from Southport, was driving a blue Honda Jazz on Tuesday, September 25, when the collision took place.

Emergency services were called to the scene of the incident, which also involved a white Ford Transit van, at around 11.45am.

Paramedics took Mr Turner to hospital but he was later pronounced dead.

An investigation into the full circumstances of the incident is ongoing, and Merseyside Police is currently appealing for anyone who may of witnessed the incident to come forward.

Witnesses are asked to call the Road's Policing Investigation Unit on 0151 777 5444 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
