Bickerstaffe Food Festival promises a treat for the tastebuds
by David Simister

TAKE your tastebuds out for a treat this weekend when a festival celebrating the best food from across Lancashire returns to Bickerstaffe.

The organisers of the Bickerstaffe Food Festival said that this year's show will be even better than last year's inaugural event, with producers from across the Red Rose county bringing their food and drink for visitors to try out.

Kim O'Brien, one of the event's organisers, said: “We can’t wait for the food festival to begin this Saturday as it is set to be a fabulous feast of food and fun at Moss House Farm with a magical blend of ingredients. We are really looking forward to welcoming visitors from near and far to Bickerstaffe and for whole families to enjoy the day.

!With even more stallholders than last year and once again cookery demonstrations, delicious samples of food to taste, local beer to drink, live music, kids activity zones, along with excellent food to eat the event caters for everyone. The venue is a local agricultural farm with stallholders undercover and is the ideal location to celebrate the festival’s core message of field to fork.”

The event, being held at the new venue of Moss House Farm, will focus on food producers from across Lancashire, including Rufford-based firm Fiddlers Crisps, Burscough business the Box Tree Tea Room, and Ormskirk eatery Source Deli among others from across West Lancashire.

For more information about the event go online and visit the official event website at or call Kim on 07802 200 181.
