Scarisbrick Marina shop damaged after potential break-in
by David Simister

BURGLARS attempted to break into a coffee shop at Scarisbrick Marina, police officers investigating the incident have said.

Lancashire Constabulary said that intruders scaled a seven foot fence at the marina, off Southport Road, and attempted to get into the coffee shop after using a tool, possibly a crowbar, to shatter a double glazed window in several places.

The intruders, however, were unable to get into the shop during the incident, which happened between 10am and midnight last Friday (September 28).

If you have any information about what happened get in touch with either Lancashire Constabulary, on 101, or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
