Academy fair is a Christmas cracker
by Henry James

VISITORS from the community came along to the Christmas Fair at Tarleton Academy.

Organisers of the event on Saturday, November 24 said they created a Magical Winter Wonderland with real Christmas trees, fairy lights and woodland creatures.

Those that came could browse the numerous stalls, and visit Santa.

A Christmas cake was also donated by Julie Cain, who is a parent. It was raffled off and raised over £100 in raffle ticket sales.

As well as the cake, there was a tombola, bric a brac and face painting as well as craft stalls, and homemade cakes.

Father Christmas, Peppa Pig and Spiderman all visited the day.

The event raised over £600, which will be split between various school fundraising teams.
