Free taster sessions at the Scarisbrick club
by David Simister

A COMMUNITY club in Scarisbrick is encouraging the village's members to enjoy a host of games and sports if they sign up as members.

Scarisbrick National Services Club said this week it was offering taster sessions of indoor bowls, snooker, darts and other sports at affordable rates to members who sign up, as part of a drive to attract new members and to promote sport as part of the legacy of the London 2012 Olympics.

The Bullens Lane-based club, which is offering free membership until February 28 was originally established for service personnel during the Second World War, is now open to all Scarisbrick residents.
