Women's prayer day
by David Simister

TARLETON residents are being invited to join in a special church service next month celebrating a day of prayer for women across the world.

The village's Methodist Church, on Church Road, will be one of the venues taking part in Women's World Day of Prayer, an international service themed around women which takes place across Christian denominations.

This year's service has been prepared by female worshippers in France, and has a strong flavour of that country's cultures and traditions. Men and women alike are encouraged to take part ion the service.

The service starts at 7.30pm. For more information call Anne Merrills, on 01772 812414.
