Nifty Fifties raise thousands of pounds
by David Simister

A BANKS organisation has raised thousands of pounds to help a charity which helps provide care for people with long term needs at nursing homes across the UK.

Members of the Nifty Fifties, a group of residents who hold meetings at the village's leisure centre, gave a cheque for £3,500 to Emma Russ, regional fundraiser for the Sue Ryder Care at a presentation last Wednesday (February 13). The money was raised through initiatives and events the group's members have been involved in over the past year.
