Firefighters called to six vehicle smash on Scarisbrick New Road

FIREFIGHTERS were called out to a six vehicle collision in Southport last Friday morning (February 22).

According to Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service (MF&RS), five of the vehicles involved in the incident at around 5.30am on Scarisbrick New Road were parked.

Nobody is believed to have been injured in the incident.

A fire appliance from Southport Community Fire Station attended the scene, where the crew made two of the vehicles safe and cleaned up petrol from the road.

They were there for around 20 minutes.
