by David Simister

A SEARCH has been launched for a woman who went missing from her home in Burscough last weekend, West Lancashire police officers.

Lancashire Constabulary said they are appealing for information about 31-year-old Karen Simpson, of Elm Road, who left her address around 10.30 am on Sunday (February 24) and walked to the local Tesco store on Liverpool Road North.

She was last seen leaving the store at around 11 am. She was expected back at her home address and has not been seen since.

Police are concerned for her welfare and are appealing for her or for anyone that knows of her whereabouts to contact them.

Karen is described as being white, around 5’6“ tall, slim build. She was wearing a dark green jacket, blue jeans, maroon grey scarf and black boots.

If anyone thinks they have seen Karen, please contact police by calling 101.
