New store only the beginning
by Tom Martin

A MUM is celebrating after opening her own fashion shop this week in Seaforth – but is already looking to the future and wants to open up more.

Stacey Daniels, 31, has always been interested in fashion and Aspire, which offers a range of women's clothes, opened on Tuesday October 1 in the Stella Precinct.

But now the Bootle mum of three already has her sights set on establishing a chain of stores across Sefton to help boost the local economy.

She said: “I think the area really needed a fresh shop and there was a gap in the market.

”I hope it can become popular in the community and hopefully create jobs for local people.

“I am running the shop on my own at the moment but I am looking to employ part-time staff by Christmas and then full-time positions may become available afterwards.

”In the next 10 years – if all goes well – then I could look into opening more shops“.

Stacey studied to become a midwife at John Moores University in 2008 but had to drop out with the arrival of her first child.

The former St Wilfreds High School pupil has since had success and shortly after the birth she opened a cafe in Litherland called The Avenue.

”Despite opening a cafe, I have always been interested in fashion and I have experience in the industry.

“The new shop has an upstairs but I haven't opened that yet because I want to see how successful it is first.

”I didn't have time to organise an official launch event but I will definitely be celebrating with friends and family!“

Aspire is open 9am-5pm Monday – Saturday and closed on Sunday.
