Silcocks offer reward for leisure centre vandalism
by Guest

A REWARD has been offered by Silcock Leisure for information leading to the successful arrest and conviction of those involved in an act of vandalism in the Kings Gardens.

They are offering £1000 after a group of five vandals were filmed on CCTV throwing broken paving slabs at the café on the pier and smashing a large window in the Pier Restaurant.

The incident occurred on Monday April 28 at 1am.

Justin Prescott, a Manager for Silcocks, said: “The main reason we've offered this is to try and nip it in the bud.

”If they're doing this to us then they'll be doing it to the gardens next.

Justin is hoping that by people coming forward it will lead to the vandals being shamed.

He said: “I think they look quite young.

”It's 1am what are they doing out there at that time?

“It wasn't even a break in, it was just mindless.”
