FANS of Homes Under the Hammer could see some familiar places in an upcoming episode after presenter Dion Dublin was spotted in Seaforth.

The popular BBC show, which explores different properties sold at auction, rolled into the town last week with a film crew seen to be working on Seaforth Road.

Sights of the cameramen caused a stir and some excited locals even asked former footballer Dion for a quick picture.

It is believed that the show was covering the properties 13-15 Seaforth Road, which were badly damaged in a fire several years ago.

The burnt-out units were sold at a recent auction, held at Manchester City FC's Ethiad Stadium, when a buyer forked out £28,000 to take ownership.

A BBC spokesperson confirmed that Dion was in the area to help to film a “property recently bought at auction” but could not confirm when the episode will air.
