Garden centre wants scarecrows
by Tom Martin

LADY Green Garden Centre is looking for locals to take part in their Scarecrow Showcase.

The Ince Blundell firm are asking people to get creative and bring their homemade scarecrows, large or small, to the Centre during August to be put on display.

Customers at the Lady Green Lane centre, in Ince Blundell, will then vote on their favourites and the two winners will be announced on Sunday, August 30 at a ‘Wildlife Weekend' event.

The Wildlife Weekend runs over the 29 and 30 August where guests can join in with lots of free activities including bird watching, treasure hunting and making an insect bookmark.

Further information on both the scarecrow competition and the Wildlife Weekend, call Tina at Lady Green Garden Centre on 0151 929 3635.
