Man charged with being in charge of dangerous dog
by Tom Martin

A LITHERLAND man has been charged with being in possession of a banned breed of dog, said to have been dangerously out of control and causing injury, at Burbo Bank, Crosby.

Appearing at Sefton Magistrates Court on November 4, Phillip Allen, 20, of Daley Road, admitted being in charge of a fighting dog, a Pit Bull Terrier type dog called Molly, but pleaded not guilty to it being dangerously out of control and causing injury to a woman.

The charge refers to an alleged incident at Burbo Bank on September 28.

Mr Allen will appear for a trial at Sefton Magistrates Court on January 15.
