Pupils serve up a treat for residents
by Tom Martin

CROSBY pupils swapped the classroom for the kitchen recently when they invited the community in for a Christmas meal.

The youngsters from Litherland High School opened their doors to 17 local residents who were treated to traditional festive food.

The GCSE catering pupils cooked the three course meal with the school choir then performing carols during the event.

Christmas hampers were then given out to guests which were made up from donations by those in Years 10 and 11.

The guests were then treated to a special Christmas play which was also attended by pupils from The Grange, Netherton Moss and St Philip’s primary schools.

A spokesperson for the school said: “The pupils and staff have been very helpful and the food was delicious. The atmosphere was wonderful, it was a marvelous day out!”
