Tasty gingerbread treat auctioned for Queenscourt
by Danielle Thompson

A GINGERBREAD house has been raffled off for two local charities.

Staff at a local hostelry, the Town Green Brasserie in Aughton raffled the sweet treat off on Friday (December 18) with the proceeds divided between Queenscourt Hospice and The Legacy Rainbow House charity in Mawdesley.

The lucky winner, Richard Forrest, was picked at random and as well as receiving the house, he was treated to a bottle of champagne.

Brasserie general manager, Dan McDonald, said: “We wanted to do something fun for our customers while also raising money for two great charities. There was a real buzz about the place when the house was completed and both staff and customers were excited to find out who had won the amazing Gingerbread House. Thank you to everyone who took part for these fantastic charities.”
