Man wanted by police is tracked down and arrested

A LITHERLAND man who was wanted by police on a number of charges including assault and criminal damage has been arrested.

Last month, an appeal for information was put out by officers who wanted to track down John Paul Rea, 26.

He has now been charged with a total of seven offences, which are aggravated unauthorised taking of a motor vehicle, handling stolen goods, money laundering, failing to provide a drug test whilst in custody, dangerous driving, criminal damage and assault.

Rea was additionally wanted on a recall to prison and has been kept in custody for the next available court date.
