A FAMILY fun day will be held at Wayfarers Arcade next month as part of the One Great Day national charity fundraiser.
There will be stalls selling gifts, bunting, bands, crafts, cakes, toys children’s entertainment, music and specialist foods at the Lord Street arcade from 10am-4pm on Saturday, June 8.
Yvonne Burns, centre manager said: “Visitors will enjoy a truly British Summer Fête experience. “It is the first time we have taken part in the One Great Day fundraising event and we are hoping to raise lots of money for two very worthy charities.
“Derian House Children’s Hospice is currently supporting more than 300 families who have a child or young adult suffering from a life shortening condition, as well as providing bereavement support for a further 200 families.
“The second charity to benefit from the event is Great Ormond Street Children’s Hospital in London which helps sick children from all over the country as well as other parts of the world.
“Stalls do not cost a lot to hire so if you have some interesting things to sell and would like to take up the opportunity to take part in this fun event and sell your goods then now is the time to book your place by calling me on 01704 539077 or emailing email@example.com.”
