Police appeal after gunman fires at house

POLICE are appealing for information after a house in Netherton was shot at.

A gunman opened fire on Simons Croft just after midnight on Monday, June 10 and damage was caused to the front windows of a home.

Officers assessed damage inside the living room and confirmed it was caused by a gun, but no injuries were reported.

An investigation is underway and house-to-house and CCTV enquiries have been carried out in the local area.

Detective Inspector Cat Walsh said: “I would appeal to anyone who was in the vicinity of Simons Croft at around midnight who may have seen anyone or anything suspicious to contact us.

“We are particularly keen to trace a male who was see on a pedal bike close the scene at the time it happened.

“I would also ask for anyone who was in the area and who may have dash-cam footage to contact us as they may have captured something significant.”
