Marine CEO James Leary said: “This is an important step for the football club in terms of its overall development and I am glad that Marine will be forming its first ever ladies’ team. We want to be a fully inclusive community club and this is a big step towards achieving that. I welcome applications from ambitious managers who want to look to grow in women’s football and move up the ladder with Marine.”
Marine Chairman Paul Leary said: “For many years, until most recently, Marine hosted Everton Ladies at the top level of the women’s game. Our football club wishes to expand its football activities into new areas and has decided for the first time to have its own Ladies football team. This provides a great opportunity for coaching staff, players and supporting volunteers to become involved in a new football pathway with Marine FC in the FA Women’s Pyramid.”
