MARINE FC will reopen its clubrooms for the first time since March as they implement new safety measures for customers.
The Crosby club are preparing to reopen on Friday, August 7 to welcome back locals to the Graham Lounge and bar, located within the Marine Travel Arena, on College Road, which will then have opening hours of Friday to Sunday from 7-11pm.
Club officials say they have followed government guidelines in getting the building ready and they have carried out and will publish a risk assessment.
Marine Chairman Paul Leary said: “After four months with no trading we are really pleased that we can finally open our doors again for our loyal members and customers. Our staff too, who have been furloughed through the closure, will gradually return to work as football returns to the Marine Travel Arena and when family parties and gatherings are allowed by the government.
“I look forward to meeting our members and supporters for a pint or two in what will be a welcome re-opening of our club.”
Additional outside seating, social distancing signage, sanitisation stations, counter screens and reductions to seating have all been put into place in the last few weeks.
Special cleaning, training and staff PPE will also be completed and provided in the build up to the opening date.
There are also plans to update Marine fans on preparations for the new season and the stadium will be open for small numbers of groups to have a guided tour.
A pop up shop will be set up in the Graham Lounge for fans and visitors to buy replica shirts, the book, the 125 year history of Marine and other items. Club officials will be available from 8pm.
The club hopes to announce arrangements shortly regarding the opening of the stadium following announcements recently by the FA that non-league competitions can resume in September.
