PLANS to spend more than £462,500 upgrading Victoria Baths are a step closer to becoming a reality after a contractor was appointed.
At the full Sefton Council meeting in January, it was resolved to approve additions to the current Capital Programme, including essential maintenance at the site to be funded by capital receipts.
Officers have subsequently undertaken a procurement exercise to identify a suitable contractor to undertake these works and Cabinet Member approval is required to appoint the preferred contractor in accordance with the Council’s Contract Procedure Rules.
Maysand Ltd of Oldham has been appointed to undertake the commission. Including fees, disbursements etc, the total cost would be £462,526.
