A NEW scheme has been launched to help apprentices find new employment or training options if they have been made redundant during the pandemic.
The Mayor of Liverpool City Region, Steve Rotheram, has launched the new initiative with apprentices particularly vulnerable to redundancies, especially when furlough ends.
The support service, called Through Be More, will allow local apprentices to find more information on the website www.be-more.info or by contacting the Liverpool City Region Combined Authority on firstname.lastname@example.org.
Steve Rotheram, Metro Mayor of the Liverpool City Region said: “My heart goes out to everyone who has lost their apprenticeship because of coronavirus.
“I’m launching this initiative to do as much as we can to ensure no apprentices are left behind by the economic shock this pandemic has caused.”
