Care worker denies ill-treating patient

A care worker has denied ill-treating a woman in a Formby care home.

Jayne Ascott has pleaded not guilty at Sefton Magistrates’ Court to ill-treating or neglecting a patient at St Joseph’s Home in Blundell Avenue on March 2 this year.

52-year-old Ascott, of Bakers Lane, Southport, is to face trial at Liverpool Magistrates Court  on April 23 next year and is on unconditional bail.
